Hi, I'm Rachel Maunder
I’m based in Petersfield, Hampshire offering independent civil celebrant services for weddings, celebrations of life, funerals, vow renewals, naming ceremonies and any other similar events.
I look for the joy and humanity in everything I do which means aiming for an uplifting element to even the saddest occasions.
The beauty of a celebrant led ceremony is that you get to choose. You get to choose where it takes place, you get to choose any customs or traditions and you get to choose any readings, music, etc.
Completely neutral when it comes to culture, faith or tradition what’s important to me is to help you create the event you want, that represents you and/or the person at the heart of the occasion.
What’s important is that we create an event that has meaning for you and those around you. The way I’ll do that is to help you find the right words, tone and style for the event in question.
Why do I do it?
I’ve always had a love and curiosity about people. What makes them tick, what's brought them to where they are today. In short, I love hearing people’s stories and for me, that’s a big part of what being a celebrant is all about.
