Weddings
As an Independent Celebrant* I’m here to support you in creating YOUR special day.
My aim is to work with you and to make sure that your special day reflects who you are as individuals and as a couple, a day that becomes the most joyful, meaningful and memorable days of your life - for all the right reasons.
I’ll start by listening to what you want, seeking to understand your values and sharing your vision for your celebration.
The are so many options open to you that it can be hard to choose.
As well as the more practical early-stage decisions:
· outdoors or indoors?
· marquee or hotel?
· self-planned or managed for you?
There are also the bigger issues to consider:
· Do you write your own vows or base them on the traditional ones?
· Do you want to include reference to any faiths or cultural practices?
· Who makes the speeches?
…. just to name a few.
I can guide you through all of this in an unbiased and non-judgemental way, making those decisions easier for you to make.
How I work
We'll start with an initial meeting (usually online) giving you a chance to see if I'm the person you want to facilitate your ceremony.
The next stage is for us to get together in person (if feasible) to start exploring your ideas, including how much involvement you want me to have ahead of the day itself.
I’ll be involved as much or as little as you want me to be.
I can be involved at virtually every step of the way of if you prefer, apart from the day itself my involvement can be minimal – and anything in between.
The choice is entirely yours.
Based in Petersfield, Hampshire I’m willing to travel to London and within the South East, or even to Europe if you’re thinking of an overseas wedding.
As well as facilitating your ceremony, if you’re also looking for someone to MC the rest of your celebration and/or help with wedding speeches, I also offer those as additional services.

*NB: For clarity, as an Independent Celebrant my role is to facilitate the celebration part of your marriage only. In order to complete the legal part of this, you will usually need to go to a Registry Office, either before or after your celebration, or, where your event is taking place at a venue that’s licensed for civil ceremonies, you can arrange for a registrar to attend on the day.
